Overview

We provide hosting services for customers that we develop website solutions for. 

We use an ASIO certified hosting facility to host our shared and dedicated servers. This data center has extremely high levels of security as well as backup generators to ensure our servers are secure and have maximum availability. 



Shared Hosting

Shared hosting means that your site is running on a server (computer) that has other sites running on it as well.

 

Shared hosting is a common way of hosting a website that does not have large volumes of traffic. The advantage of shared hosting is that the costs are much lower than a dedicated server option. The reason for this is simple, the hosting costs are shared because there are multiple sites runnin on the one server. 

 

Shared hosting features include:

 

  • 100MB Shared Network Connection (99% uptime guarantee on network)
  • 1 GIG Traffic Per Month (standard hosting package)
  • Content Management System Access
  • Domain Name Maintenance (if required)
  • Monthly reporting + Google Analytics
  • No space quotas (as long as data is used on your website)
  • Virus protection
  • Daily database backups + daily cross-server backups + monthly tape backups

 



Dedicated Hosting

Dedicated hosting means that you have a server (computer) that runs your website and no others.

 

Dedicated servers are good for websites that have large volumes of traffic, have sensitive data or more customised systems. A dedicated server can also mean multiple servers when a site has sufficent traffic/systems that one server is not enough to run effectively. 



What kind of hosting do I need?

The majority of small-medium sized websites will run fine within a shared environment. We generally have a good idea after speaking with you whether you'll need a dedicated server and will recomend it to you if we feel it's appropriate.

What if I choose shared hosting and need to upgrade?

No problems. There is usually a 3-4 week lead time in sourcing hardware and setup but apart from that the migration process is seamless. We generally have a spare development server that can be used by sites that experience extremely sharp traffic increases.

I'm just looking to have my site hosted. Can you help?

Unfortunately we can't. We only offer hosting for websites that we develop.  Websites that we haven't developed may be using technologies we don't support (like PHP) and as such cannot provide you with the kind of assistance you may require along with the necessary software to run your site.
